DAMAGE PREVENTION COMMITTEE & SUBCOMMITTEE

DigNet of New York City & Long Island's Damage Prevention Committee provides an open forum for its members to share ideas, strategies and solutions to prevent damage to underground facilities during excavation. Committee members include underground facility owners and operators, DigNet representatives, excavators, contractors, government agencies and other interested individuals.

The committee meets regularly and sponsors events, seminars, outings and workshops for its members and guests. Click here for upcoming meeting times and events.

DigNet also offers a Damage Prevention Subcommittee, which was established to enhance relationships between excavators, utility companies, locate services and DigNet. Subcommittee members make key procedure recommendations to DigNet’s Board of Directors to help improve safe digging processes.
