As an excavator or contractor, you play an important role in our efforts to keep citizens safe. By law, excavators and contractors working in the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island must contact DigNet of New York City & Long Island by phone, 1-800-272-4480 or 811, or via ITIC at least two working days before beginning any mechanized digging or excavation work.

Planning an excavation or demolition project?

Contact DigNet to have underground utilities marked, 48 hours prior to a planned excavation or demolition project, it could save your life and you will be eligible to win a $100 Home Depot gift card. Notification requests can be made by phone and through ITIC. Excavator/contractor must have a legitimate proposed excavation or demolition project to be eligible for the contest. Callers/ITIC users with the sole purpose of entering contest will not be considered and will bear the costs associated with facility owners locating their underground facilities. Contest is valid April 12-September 30, 2010, and two winners will be chosen by October 15, 2010. Each winner will receive a $100 gift card.
